Hello everybody!

My name is Tommy and I live in Belgium. After quite some time I figured out how this forum works (as my Italian is not that good) .

For more than a year now, I drive a Campanella White New Beetle convertible with red leather and red top. I have imported him myself from Silandro, Italy.
It was a great roadtrip!

But now I am confused. On the invoice it says red edition. It has all the specification of a Limited Red Edition but I do not have the badge on the trunk. Is there a way to check whether my car is a LRE ?

Oh, his name is Chili. Chili is my third beetle, after BeetleJuice ( 2000 grey coupe) and Shadow (2004 black convertible).

Congratulations on your long New Beetle "affaire": three cars are quite a lot.

Couple of "places": it may have fallen off, but it's hardly possible, I think... or the previous owner may have kept it, as a souvenir form her/his car. Or perhaps your New Beetle has come a longer way than expected: in Germany you could actually order a New Beetle with a red top, red leather interior trims, just like the LRE, but it would have come without an LRE badge since it would be meant as a standard car.
But I'm not the expert on this matter: the true expert will show up shortly, I'm sure.

Anyway: any Volkswagen dealer should be able to sell you a LRE badge.

If you have further questions, you may open a thread in the section GNUbittol Garage -> Gnubittol Body - Carrozzeria ed Interni where we can talk as long as you need about your badge (this is our Reception, a section that should contain users' introduction to the Community only).

Meanwhile: if you want to share some more pictures of your Chili and, why not?, of your previous New Beetles, you can post them in our gallery, here: we just can't wait to see them.

We are currently in the process of updating our system, thus the gallery has been online for a while. All the pictures you posted are still in our database, but many of them are still not indexed and they don't appear in your personal album, yet. You can access the album from your profile page.
We are working on it so stay in touch.
In the mean time, you can upload your pictures as attachments to your posts, or upload them in your personal album: when the new gallery will be brought online, your pictures will be available there.
