17th Intenational Beetle Meeting in Czech Republic (spring event)

Ciao a tutti,

In agreement with the staff of the New Beetle Club Italia, BeetleClub.CZ takes a pleasure in the opportunity to invite all the enthusiastic supporters of the famous "Bug" car for a participation at the 17th International New Beetle / Beetle meeting.



The event will start with the gathering of all the participants in a small historical town Slavkov u Brna (mostly known abroad as Austerlitz, a German translation of its name), which is situated in South Moravia region, 20km eastern from its major city and natural administrative centre Brno, Czech Republic. The town of Slavkov u Brna is famous world-wide especially due to the military clash of 1805 between the armies of Napoleon and Austrian empire. The central part of the former battlefield is nowadays situated just a few kilometres eastwards away from the town.





Date: 5. – 8. 5.2017 (main program is scheduled for Saturday 6.5.)

Time: from 9:00 till 11:00 (arrival, registration, numbering of cars)

Main theme: "Christmas ". Every participant is cordially invited to put on a costume inspired by the theme of this meeting. However, this is not an obligatory step, everyone is free to make such decision. A panel of experts will evaluate all the costumes and the prize for the best thematic outfit will be announced in the evening

a visit of the local ZOO exhibiting fine selection of various animal species and reconstruction of the original homestead from Hana region in the neighbouring town of Vyškov (driving distance of approximately 20km), shopping break in the TESCO supermarket nearby

The participation at the event is generally free of charge and all the attendee are responsible for covering the necessary expenses (e.g. lunch, dinner, entry to the museum...) on their own. If somebody would be interested and needs some help with registration then, please, let me know.

We're really happy to have you with us the following weekend. You'll have a chance to experience real Christmas festivities in May (as this is the theme of the event), hihi. But still couple of days have to pass by.

Unfortunately, I need to know the dates of the meeting in advance .... one week is not much ....it will be for the next !!!

The point is that I had to get an approval from the staff of the New Beetle Club Italia to post the details about our meeting on your club web site. And on top of that we had some delay with the preparation of the final program for the event. So this is just an explanation why it was publicly announced a bit later than I initially planed.

But don't worry, there will be another meeting in CZ later on this year, which I will try to announce much sooner than this time. Of course, it would be nice to have you onboard for that other event.
